Apricot Kernals (Seeds)
Apricot kernels (also known as apricot seeds) are the small seeds found inside the pit of an apricot. They quite resemble almonds but are a bit smaller and have a mild and slightly sweet taste, sometimes each batch may contain a few bitter-tasting kernels. Apricots share many similar properties and uses with Almonds, they contain 45 to 50 percent oil, 25 percent protein, 8 percent carbohydrates and 5 percent fiber. They’re also loaded with healthy fats that help to lower "Bad" Cholesterol. The kernels contain essential fatty acids (omega-6s and omega-3s). These help fight heart disease, improve mental health, and have a host of other benefits.
